Rubber mixts. (I), for components subject to high dynamic and thermal loading, esp. toothed belts for motor vehicles, contain hydrogenated nitrile-butadiene rubber (HNBR) which is crosslinked with peroxide, triallyl isocyanurate (TAC) as co-agent, 8-12 pts. wt. MgO stabiliser (to 100 pts. wt. HNBR) and Na-Al silicate (II) as filler. Pref. the HNBR has a high deg. of hydrogenation, pref. at least 98%. (I) contains at least 1 pt. wt. TAC and 5-30 (pref. about 15) pts. wt. (II) with pH 10-12 and specific surface about 60 m2/g. (I) also contains not more than 10 pts. wt. plasticiser (pref. none) and 1-6 pts. wt. liq. polybutadiene resin (III) as coupling agent. USE/ADVANTAGE - (I) have good high temp. resistance, good adhesive properties, very good resistance to ozone, oil and low temp., little age-hardening, stable ductility and good abrasion resistance.
