The system consists of a housing (22) which movably supports the guide rollers (4,13,16,44,45,46) by springs (70). The rollers are divided in to groups around the circumference of the guide and the distance between the rollers in a group is smaller than that between the pairs. There is no roller lying opposite the torsional axis (81) of the guide. There are only three groups of rollers and these are divided evenly around circumference. The guide (5) is located on the inlet side of the knife head. USE/ADVANTAGE - Guidance system for round bars. The system does not require centres to be machined in the ends of the bars.
