The regulator and throttle unit comprises a valve housing (1). On the side facing the inflow of vapours and gases there is either a valve body (3) with or without flow channels (5) for reducing the pressure. It is arranged so that it can be displaced from the position tightly closing the valve seat (2) in the valve housing thereby releasing the flow channels (5) to the pressure reducing body (6) with built-in flow paths. The number of pressure-reducing flow channels and flow paths used is dependent on the relevant throughput. ADVANTAGE - The flow geometry matches the valve cross-section released and thus the flow capacity and a stepped relaxation is possible.
