The appts. takes components for mounting on a circuit board from reels of tape while covering film (A) is peeled back by a separator causing it to pass between toothed wheels (Z30, Z31). To prevent lateral displacement of the peeled film, one toothed wheel (Z30) has straight-edged teeth and its counterpart (Z31) has hemispherical teeth. Any film undergoing displacement (Pf1) within a range of oscillation (Pf2) is automatically creased and returned to a middle position between the teeth. USE/ADVANTAGE - For use with surface mount devices. Film is easily peeled under constant tension without lateral displacement between toothed wheels.
