The method involves separating the cassettes from another and then sorted. After sorting, they are placed on a conveyor belt in a defined alignment. The cassettes are then compressed and the deformation due to this compression releases the cassette cover and the cassette covers are then collected together. The ribbon in the cassette is then removed by a suction device and the cassettes and covers are then broken up for re-cycling. ADVANTAGE - Ribbon cassettes cheaper to mfr. using re-cycling process.
