摘要
To mechanically clear weeds from cultivated ground, the cultivated plants carry markings which can be detected by sensors. The sensors are integrated into a weed clearing machine so that all unmarked plants are removed or destroyed. The cultivated plants are pref. marked by spraying with radioactive isotopes, whose half life matches the time span between sowing and harvesting. The sensors are radiation detectors. The seeds are irradiated before sowing. In operation, a simple electrical circuit activates the weed removal machine when the sensors do not detect a radioactive marking at the plant. ADVANTAGE - The method does not endanger the environment with herbicides and the like in an agricultural application.
