The electro-optical modulatable crystal is provided with natural double rotation. The optical axis(10) of the modulator crystal (2) is arranged at an angle of about 0 deg. and 90 deg. to the plane of the ring laser beam course, and is led through the revolving light beam of the ring laser. The laser crystal(1) and the modulator crystal(2) are pressed together, with the same refractive index, directly from the laser crystal and the modulator crystal. A liquid is provided between the laser crystal and the modulator crystal, the refractive index of which corresponds to that of one of the two crystals. ADVANTAGE - Precise and quick amplitude or frequency modulation is possible. Mass prodn. of laser with reproducible quality can be attained.
