The bi-plane aircraft has a fixed lower wing (1) and a movable upper wing (2). The upper wing is supported by pivoted links so that it can be swung down and lie on the lower wing. The upper surface of the lower wing matches the under surface of the upper wing so that when the upper wing is swung downwards the two wings form a single aerofoil section and thus convert the aircraft to a monoplane with a high cruising speed. USE/ADVANTAGE - Convertible aircraft with short take-off and landing in biplane form and with a high cruising speed.
