The reed relay switching device has a non-ferromagnetic housing enclosing a bore (10) with end inserts (16, 16') that provide guidance for actuator pistons (8, 14). A pair of cup-shaped guide elements (5, 5') and a cylinder (6) are slidably located in the bore, and normally held in contact by springs to shield a permanent magnet (4) is enclosed within two support elements (6). A double contact reed relay cpsule (2) is located on the outside of the house. When one of the input pistons is displayed, separation between one of the guide elements and the centre cylinder occurs. In this way the permanent magnetic field only operates one of the reed replay contacts. ADVANTAGE - Double reed contacts individually operable in common housing.
