Cerumen protection for in-ear hearing aid - uses hoop secured to housing of hearing aid via cooperating screw threads to protect sound exit opening

The cerumen protection, preventing the blockage of the sound exit openings of the hearing aid, is provided by a hoop (12) lying at a given distance from the opening(s) on the side facing the hearing channel. The hoop (12) is attached to the housing (7) of the hearing aid via an internal or external screw thread (14) provided by the latter and an externally or internally threaded sleeve integral with the hoop (12). Pref. the loop (12) is also used to prevent blockage of a vent channel adjacent the sound exit openings. ADVANTAGE - Simple device, with easy removal for cleaning.
