The pallet has two layers of boards nailed onto support blocks (5) using the nail fasteners. The nail tip section has ribbed profiles (7) to hold into the block. A shorter ribbed section (13) grips between the two boards, leaving two smooth sections for rigidity. The ribbed sections prevent nail popping when the pallet flexes under load. The tip section of rib profile extends up to half the length of the nail shaft. The second ribbed section is up to one third the length of the tip ribbed section, with the smooth sections of equal length. ADVANTAGE - Improved grip into boards, less risk of nails bending during fitting, less risk of nail popping.
