The thickness of the Na silicate is in the range 37 to 40 Baume (1.34 to 1.38 g/cm3). The granular size of the ground chalk is below 50 micrometres. The Na silicate and ground chalk are mixed in the ratio of 3:1. Several layers of the mixt. are pref. applied at 12 hr. intervals.
