A valve (35) for maintaining a constant control pressure in a pneumatic switching circuit has a cylindrical body (36) in which a valve seat (37) is installed. The seat is sealed by a seal (32) made of an elastomeric material. This seal has a curved slot which extends through almost 360 deg. so that a circular disc is formed which is attached to the body of the seal by a narrow neck. The edge of this disc is supported on the valve seat (37). The disc is divided in sectors (31) by radial slots to form tongues which are attached to the disc near its outer edge. When subjected to a pressure the tongues are deflected in the direction of the flow. USE/ADVANTAGE - Compact constant pressure valve for low pressure.
