Determining axial centre of gravity of elongated body eg pipe or flying body - using ring bearings for supporting body weighing cells and measuring weight with and without displaceable additional wt.
The method involves a first wt. measurement of the body (FK), a second wt. measurement with an additional wt. (F) attached to the body at an optional but accurately defined point, a third wt. measurement with the additional wt. shifted by a defined distance and a mathematical computation from the three readings of two weighing cells. The additional wt. is a saddle (10) with two carrier elements (11a,11b), a centering stop (11c) for position fixing on the measurement body and a displacement rod (12) with the wt. (13) on it. The elongated body is mounted fore and aft in roller rings (30,40) on weighing cells (A,B). USE/ADVANTAGE - For rapid, reliable, accurate and problem-free measurement.
