The waste material with a textile content, such as waste carpetings or vehicle interior claddings and the like, is ground and reduced to fine fibres. The fibres are cleaned in a bath and then compressed into a felting, pref. by an angled sieve mesh appts. The felting non-woven is finally bonded. The fine fibres are washed in water, pref. with an added detergent which, after use, is cleaned and returned to the washing bath. Before compression and bonding into a non-woven felting, a bonding agent is added to the mixture as ground fine fibre waste and water. The material is finally bonded by immersion in latex, and the like, to be dried and rolled. ADVANTAGE - The technique recycles high bulk and large volume textile waste materials, cost effectively, without damage to the environment, to give a floor covering or acoustic insulating material
