Ring spinning frame - has heat dissipating fastener on the ring rail to centre and grip the ring

On ring spinning frame, the ring is centred and held to the ring rail by a fastener. The fastener grips the inside of the ring and tightens on to it as it projects through the bore of the rail. The fastener has a Z shape profile, with the middle section held horizontally under the rail, and a strengthening wall which lies away from the track of the traveller. The fastener is split to allow expansion inside the ring, with a screw adjustment. Pref. the fastener (2) has upward projection (22) to fit into the interior of the ring (3) which is held above the ringrail. The horizontal section (21) lies flat against the underside of the ring rail (1), with the strengthening support walls (24) projecting downwards, and shaped to avoid the course of the traveller (4) as it runs around the outer face (33,34) of the ring (3). The fastener (2) is split, with screw across the gap. With this adjustment the fastener is tightened against the interior face (31) of the ring. The fastener is shaped to obtain a good grip. ADVANTAGE - Permits small section ring to be held. Oil, dust and fly are easily removed by cloth. Maintenance is simplified.
