Granulate or pellet contg. active agent(s) comprise a dispersion of the active agent(s) in a matrix consisting essentially of hydrophilic macromolecules. Also claimed are tablets prepd. from the above pellets which do not contain tabletting anxiliaries and hard gelatin capsules or soft gelatin capsules contg. the pellets. Pref. the macromolecule is a thermoreversible sol-gel former, or selected from collagen, gelatins, fractionated gelatins, a collagen hydrolysate and/or a gelatin deriv. The particle size is 0.2-12 mm, and the active agent is a pharmaceutical, a diagnostic agent, a cosmetic agent, an enzyme or bacterium, or a nutrient for microorganisms. The matrix opt. contains a softener (0.1-50 wt.% based on the it. of pellet), and a Frame-former which is dextran, a sugar, glycine, lactose, sorbitol, mannitol and/or polyvinylpyrrolidone. USE/ADVANTAGE - The pellets/granulates can be used as medicaments, cosmetic agents, diagnostic agents or dietetic foodstuffs. They are cheap and easy to prepare and do not have a negative effect on the bioavailability of the active agent.
