The outer and inner sealing rings (9,10) are inserted in each other eccentrically and adjustably. Each ring has a dividing seam (5) with compensating play and these seams are arranged off-set relative to each other. The rings and thus the sealing ring disc (4) can be fitted self-tensioning on the piston rod (1). The outer circumference of the outer ring is concentric with the piston rod and the inner circumference of the inner ring is concentric with the piston rod. The sealing ring discs can be made of metal or non-metal material or a combination of both. ADVANTAGE - A high sealing action is ensured whilst compensating for the wear.
