Lacquering wood furniture part esp. kitchen unit front - by sealing edge, applying filler, polishing and applying freshly mixed structural lacquer and clear coat

In lacquering furniture components made from wood (material) esp. kitchen unit fronts, with structural lacquer the edges and at least the inside profile are sealed by coating with a clear lacquer, then a filler base is applied to both faces and the edges and polished. After this, a structural lacquer, freshly prepd. by mixing coloured lacquer and separate structurising agent, opt. a nacreous lacquer coat and finally a protective clear coat are applied. Pref. polyurethane-based lacquer and polyester-based filler are used. The structural lacquer pref. is white. The components consist of medium density hard fibreboard. ADVANTAGE - A smooth finish is obtd. and very good optical effects can be produced. Mixing the strucutral layers just before use eliminates the need for special storage. The process can be automated very well and uses easily operated equipment.
