Filler for joints in floors, ceilings, walls, etc. contains 1-8 (wt.)% colourant (I) and 26-36% skim coat (II), rest water. Pref. the filler contains 8% (I) and 32% (II). It is based on a waste prod. (e.g., textile fibres, potato starch, thickener, natural waxes, etc.) from textile mfr., pref. dried to reduce its water content. (II) consists of 60-90, pref. 85,% starch, 5-20, pref. 10,% methylcellulose and 3-7, pref. 5,% acrylate. The compsn. may also contain a filler, e.g., quartz, slag, cement, mortar and aggregate, in which case it contains 3-5, pref. 4,% (I), 10-20, pref. 16,% (II) and 15-60, pref. 30,% filler. USE/ADVANTAGE - The filler is very elastic and does not crack, even after long periods when used for filling large joints.
