The stud (1) is in the form of a hollow sleeve with two slots (2, 3) extending at right angles to its longitudinal axis in diametrically opposed sides. The undersides of the slots form a surface (4) on which the board (5) is supported when the head of the stud is pressed into an elongated hole (8) in the board. The hole has two opposite straight edges (9, 10) for engagement in the slots. The head is tapered upwards with an angle of 7 deg. to end in a point with an obtuse angle of 120 deg. ADVANTAGE - Board or other flat component is held reliably without sensitivity to vibration and can be released only with use of tool.
