On the circulating rotor are several filling positions, each of which comprises a filling element (2) and a bottle carrier (3), which are movable by a lift device relatively to one another in an axial direction parallel to the machine axis. The filling element (2) has an open bell (19) on its underside, which forms a chamber (21) for complete accommodation of the bottle (4). At its lower open end the bell is tightly closable by a closure element formed by the bottle carrier (3). Members which do not rotate with the rotor remove broken pieces of glass from the bottle carrier when a breakage occurs which activates a signal from a measurement probe (30,47) reacting to liq.. Each filling element (2) has a measurement probe. USE/ADVANTAGE - With bottle-filling machines, to remove broken glass pieces when a bottle breakage occurs.
