An enlarger (1) with a white light source (2) projects the image of a coloured original (6) in its holder (5) onto positive photographic or reversal paper (10) on a projection table (9) which can be raised and lowered. One or more subtraction filters (3) are placed between the original holder and the objective lens (7). Pref. red, green and blue monochrome filters are used to produce complementary cyan, magenta and yellow images in the corresp. layers of the paper. USE/ADVANTAGE - Posters of high quality can be produced at low cost from any number of pref. negative coloured originals.
