Testing brakes of motor vehicle having several simultaneously driven axles - connecting axles non-releasably and allowing force measurement on non-tested-brake wheels become zero by control of roller drive of tested-brake wheels
Testing brakes of motor vehicle having several simultaneously driven axles - connecting axles non-releasably and allowing force measurement on non-tested-brake wheels become zero by control of roller drive of tested-brake wheels
Two axles are non-releasably connected and are each provided with differential gears. The two vehicle wheels (3,4) to be tested are driven by the rollers of a braking test bed and brought up to the same rpm by the control of the drive. The wheels assigned to the brakes to be tested are braked, and the braking effect is determined. A force measurement (15,16) is carried out at one axle (22) in the contact surface (10, 11) at least of one wheel (5,6) having untested brakes, which is drivingly coupled to the axle (21) having the tested brakes. The control of the drive of the two pairs of rollers (17, 18; 19, 20) is carried out by the control unit (12), such that force measured is zero. ADVANTAGE - Stress of mechanical parts between coupled axles leads to measurement falsifications with determination of braking force. These are cleared or minimised using parameter obtained directly from the stress.
