Radiation source for irradiating the inner walls of longitudinal hollow chambers by continuously moving the source along the chamber aixs, includes a framework with a number of lamps located over its circumference. The framework has a central carrier on which each lamp and its reflector are located. A first group of lamps are arranged so that they are equidistant on the carrier circumference. A second group of lamps is arranged so that it is displaced w.r.t. the first group. USE/ADVANTAGE - The arrangement is used to e.g. harden elastics with UV light, or for sanitising pipes. The arrangement is simple and reliable.
