(I) comprises a plasma-deposited adhesive layer of a material whose surface tension in the melted state ensures good wettability of the base body between the base body of fibre-reinforced epoxide resin and a plasma-deposited inorganic covering layer. Also claimed is the prepn. of (I) in which an inert cooling gas, during plasma-deposition, is passed in two symmetrical pairs, transversal to gas streams of approx. similar throughput across the plasmatron axis. One pair meets the plasmatron axis between the plasma flame and the meeting pt. of the particle stream on the base body. The adhesive layer comprises A1203 contg. 3-50 pref. 40 wt.% TiO2. The covering layer consists of ceramic, metal or their mixt. The adhesive layer is 0.05-0.15 mm thick. The adhesive layer contains 3-10 wt.% SiO2, 2-6 wt.% MgO and up to 1.1 wt.% alkali. ADVANTAGE - (I) is an easily mouldable, non-heat-resistant body having a layer of wear-resistant an chemically resistant material.
