An arrangement of rotationally symmetric reflectors for a quasi-point light source is made from two reflectors of different diameters whose axes of symmetry are coincident and which radiate in the same direction so as to reinforce each other. The foci of the reflectors may both be at the centre of the light source. The smaller inner reflector lies on or near the plane joining the light source to the edge of the outer reflector. The inner reflector is surrounded by a cylindrical reflecting unit with the same axis of symmetry and of slightly larger diameter. It also lies on or near the intersecting plane of light source and outer reflector edge. USE/ADVANTAGE - For applications with high-pressure gas-discharge lamps e.g. halogen metal vapour lamps. No dazzle over radiated light beam even if lamp is displaced.
