A means of preventing the formation of fog and heavy mist leading to the deposition of ice on road surfaces is based upon creating an enclosed barrier along the roadside. The turbulence generated in the enclosed space due to the passage of vehicle and the heat from exhausts inhibits the formation of fog conditions. The barriers proposed can be of a woven material of various types that is stretched between supporting poles spaced along the sides of the road. An alternative can be provided in the form of a natural barrier formed by plants and trees. USE/ADVANTAGE - Maintains roads clear of fog, ice, snow, noise and side wind.
