Warp knitting cpd. needle - has construction design suitable for knitting fleecy fabric and denser material

In the mfr. to produce cpd. needles, a wedge shape point, to some extent parallel to the lengthwise axis, and a restrictive camber along the yarn space, and slopes at each side, is constructed by forging, and ground on top for the slide wire. Cpd. needle (1) pref. has a point (3) with hook (2) having an interior bend (20). Top groove (4) carries the slide wire (41) which is actuated to open and close the hook and this runs parallel to the top of the hook (30). USE/ADVANTAGE - For warp knitting machine, needle is cheap to produce. Denser material can be produced on account of the smooth running of the needles, and softer fibres can be worked in a fleecy fabric.
