The sterilising steam is fed in by a filling valve without a filling pipe prior to filling the bottle. The bottle is likewise evacuated. The steam can be introduced at a temp. of about 115 deg. C with normal pressure or with an excess pressure of 0.2 bar tangentially and inclined downwards. The steam air mixt. which is formed after the steam is introduced can again be evacuated and then pre-pressurised with inert gas like the bottle. USE/ADVANTAGE - Sterilisation and filling of drinks bottles. The steam does not mix with the air so that less steam is used. The steam temp. does not drop through a colder proportion of air. The drink is not heated.
