The roller-type punch stamps documents etc in two colours. It has two rollers (7, 8) with type faces. On the outside of each of these are two travel rollers of soft foam rubber, giving safe rolling action and thus giving clean and accurate result. There can be two absorbent rollers (1, 2) impregnated with ink, transferring the latter to the type faces during the rolling movement. One of these can be vertically above its type-face roller, and the other offset downwards through 80 to 90 deg, so as to ensure that fresh ink is applied to each type-face roller before the stamping operation.
