The power-distributing transmission (2) between the drive unit (1) and axle drive train (8) includes a planetary differential gear (9) with at least four shafts and two series of planet wheels (13,14), larger and smaller sun wheels (10,12), a bar (15) and a hollow gear wheel (16) with internal teeth (17). Two hydrostatic machines (3,4) connected to an appropriate planetary gear shaft function alternately as motor and pump. A hydraulic machine (58) working through an additional planetary differential gear (44) can be coupled by a clutch (K) to the smaller sun wheel (12). USE/ADVANTAGE - Esp. on heavy goods vehicles and omnibuses; waste energy is convertible into useful form by comparatively simple, inexpensive and more efficient machinery.
