Blocking rods (15) are mounted along the side edges of the sheets on the guide plate (11). Blowers can be mounted along the sheet side edges with their flat counter-jet opposite the down flowing support air. The mechanism consists of air nozzles skew mounted in the guide plate,whose jets impinge at acute angle onto the sheet(s).The main air flow extends from the sheet centre to the edges. ADVANTAGE - Increased floating height of the sheet,preventing smears.
