The laboratory centrifuge is driven by a shaft (1) mounted in rolling bearings (2) which are mounted in a housing (6). A vibration damping mass (5) is installed between the bearings (2) and the housing (6). The damping mass (5) is connected to the housing (6) by a viscous fluid (7) and is connected to the sleeve (3) which encloses the rolling bearings (2), by an elastically deformable element (4). The bearing system is so arranged that the housing (6) encloses the viscous fluid (7) which encloses the elastic element (4) which surrounds the driving shaft (1) of the centrifuge rotor. USE/ADVANTAGE - Bearing for laboratory centrifuge for centrifuging blood or serum. The damper enables the rotor to be operated above its critical speed.
