Liquid treatment using stacked channels and capillary materials - which force fluid effluent through final cleaning stage before discharge from chemical factories or municipal facilities
An assembly to clean fluids using the capillary effect has channels and layers of material capable of soaking up fluid, so arranged that fluid is capillary-driven through the assembly. The novelty is that movable channels hold the filter material within the housing and are arranged above and alongside each other; further that collectors are arranged underneath the channels with the filter material loosely surrounding the channels. USE/ADVANTAGE - The assembly provides a final stage treatment of fluid effluent incident in the chemical industry, municipal facilities, treatment of waste material, swimming pools, and the home. The entire unit works using the capillary-effect so that operation continues even if the filter material becomes soiled.
