The tower of the gate has docking tunnels at two levels to reach the hatches of the two storey large aircraft. The tower can either be mounted to lower into the ground when not required, or is mounted on a mobile chassis. In the latter case an extending canopy covers the transfer to busses. The levels in the tower are reached by staircases and/or escalators. Lifts can be included for disabled access and goods access. One- or more sides of the tower can be clad in transparent panels for increased lighting. USE/ADVANTAGE - Large bodied aircraft with two decks. Rapid transfer of passengers, no obstruction to other aircraft.
