The lock has a pivoted catch (1) and a locking member (2) which is fixed to the door structure (3). The locking member (2) is U shaped and has an opening (9) with the locking bolt (4) being supported in each leg (12,17) of the U shape. The pivoted catch (11) is mounted between the legs of the U shape and has a vertical slot which engages the middle part (5) of the locking bolt (4). The middle part of the locking bolt has its axis offset by a distance (E) from the rotational axis of the bolt (4). Thus when the bolt is rotated through 180 deg. the catch (1) is swung through a distance (E) at its point of contact with the pin. ADVANTAGE - The door can be correctly positioned by rotating the locking bolt instead of moving the pivoted catch.
