A dust filter for continual vertical operation is installed within a housing and consists of a number of identical neighbouring, long narrow tapered filter bodies, closely positioned w.r.t. each other. The cross-section of the filter bodies (1) narrows at an angle of from 2 to 5 deg. from top to bottom w.r.t. the operating position, and takes the form of a truncated cone with the larger dia. at the top. USE/ADVANTAGE - The filter removes dust from gases. The arrangement speeds the flow of gases away from the space between the filters, enhancing filter efficiency and extending the period of operational use for filters.
