A process is disclosed for producing surface-distributed, pressure-sensitive adhesives by radical polymerisation of photopolymerisable, solvent-free and pourable compositions containing acrylic acid and/or acrylic acid derivates by means of ultraviolet radiation in the 180-400 nm range. The energy required for polymerisation is supplied by the monochromatic radiation of a laser.
