The truck has a mast (2) with an elevating slide (3) carrying a pair of forks (4). Also carried on the slide (3) is a second mast (5) with an elevating slide (6) carrying a second pair of forks (7). To lift a pair of boxes off the floor, the upper box is engaged using the second pair of forks and lifted. The bottom box is then lifted using the first pair of forks. During raising of the bottom box the distance between the two boxes remains unchanged. ADVANTAGE - Saves handling time.
