A low-calorie food for assisting (non)medical measures against osteoporosis, e.g. for prevention of post-menopausal osteoporosis, contains, in addn. to fats and carbohydrates, as active components, 50g of protein, 100-2000 mg of Ca as a salt of a physilogically acceptable acid, and 1.25-15 micro-g of vitamin D. USE/ADVANTAGE - The food is sued to assist measures against osteoporosis, and also as a supplementary balancing diet in physiotherapy and training programmes (claimed). The food can be used at a stage at which bone metabolism has not yet led to pronounced loss of bone material. The components have a synergistic effect
