Clamp for precompression of coil springs to be assembled - has claw locked on spring coil by one arm of lever pivoted on claw and actuated by screw bearing on other arm
Clamp for precompression of coil springs to be assembled - has claw locked on spring coil by one arm of lever pivoted on claw and actuated by screw bearing on other arm
The coil spring is precompressed using three equally spaced clamps (1). Each clamp consists of a screw with a first claw bush (3) free under the screw head (5) and a second claw bush (8) screwed onto the end of the screw seen from above the claw regions tapes inwards towards the inside of the spring to facilitate insertion. When the spring has been sufficiently compressed the second claw bush is locked in place by a two-armed level (17) pivoted on a lug (15) of the claw bush. Turning the clamping screw (18) traps the spring coil (25) securely between the arm (22) of the lever and the semicircular recess (10) of the claw. USE/ADVANTAGE - Spring precompression clamp is easy and safe to apply and spring remains undamaged. Low-cost design.
