The adaptor, which is made from plastics material, fits in the gap (18) of the fastened slot (4). It has a base (1) with end walls (2,3) which are high enough to be flush with the upper surface of the strip and which contain the nut (10) in the space between. Extending from one side of the adaptor and sloping upwards towards the free end are tongues (9) which provide a spring support for the nut. Between the tongues is a gap large enough to allow free passage for the screw. The adaptor is first positioned in the slot. The nut can then be inserted by tipping it and forcing it downwards on the tongues. USE/ADVANTAGE - Nut is easily inserted, adjusted and removed. Simple, low-cost design.
