The caps (1) of a rotationally symmetric contact arranged around a cylindrical opening (3) touch one another at their radial edges (2). They are pressed against the centre by the heads (6) of three resilient bars (4) protruding through slots in a metallic cylinder (5). In the open position of the circuit-breaker the springiness of the radial bars holds the adjacent caps together so that they form a closed ring. Either the fixed or the moving contact may be so constituted. ADVANTAGE - Soldering of tulip-shaped contact is unnecessary, resistance to burning is improved, and in the open position dielectric strength is increased.
