Non-polluting low sulphur fuel prodn. from polluted dead wood - by mixing with pref. lime and coal, and moulding for environmentally friendly, storable fuels from tree stumps and branches

The prodn. comprises comminution, mixing with bactericidal additives and an energy carrier (ground brown coal and/or hard coal) and moulding. Also new is a fuel comprising a moulded body of pressed partially rotted wood, lime and a brown and/or hard coal mixt. Pref. the wood is ground and mixed with lime, (unslaked lime). The additive (lime) is pref. added in stoichiometric ratio to the sulphur content in the wood and opt. in the coal. The coal is pref. added in amt. to provide a calorific value of 4-700 (5500) Kcal. ADVANTAGE - Tree stumps and branches from polluted dead forests may be converted into a non-polluting, storable, low sulphur fuel.
