A plug of plastics, stainless steel or similar has max. cross-section of feed flow as well as filtrate removal for (GRP steel or plastic, etc.) pipes as used in membrane filtration. The plug combines the following: feed plug with concentric connections and continuously widening taper, plug with horizontal distributor rim, through bores and flow cone, besides filtrate outlet bore; outlet plug with concentric connection pipe and continuous widening taper and plug for the permeate (filtrate) there are no moving parts in operation. The product has four parts, namely the plugs for feed flow, closure, outlet flow, and filtrate. They are swivel components and they fit together pressure-tight by the use of O-rings. Alternatively they can be permanently fixed (e.g. welded) together. ADVANTAGE - The product presents the largest possible cross-section to the feed flow, whilst ensuring removal of the filtrate. It provides optimal uniformity of feed flow. It offers a universal draw-bar (rod) system for the plug regardless of the operational pressure or material.
