The equipment prevents reverse flow in the chimney of a heater burner. It comprises a bottom cowl with walls converging in the flow direction, a guide for the exhaust gas, and a top cowl with inner walls also converging in the flow direction. The guide comprises U-section vanes extending round the bottom edges of the inner walls, together with a central U- or V-section vane in the path of the gas and downstream of the first vanes. The guide (14) is in one piece and bridge-shaped, the vanes (8, 9) being formed in it by deep-drawing, after which openings (15) are cut out between the outer (8) and central (9) ones. These openings can extend for the full distance between the front and rear walls (16a, 16b) of the guide. USE/ADVANTAGE - Simplicity and easy installation of reverse flow preventer for heater burner.
