The force sensor is mfd. using a stamp (5) acting on a screen printed measuring resistance (6), with evaluation of the resulting resistance variation for determining the applied force. The measuring resistance (6) has two superimposed layers (1,2) only the lower layer (1) overlapping the conductor tracks (3) used to detect the resistance variation. The upper screen printed layer (2) has a thickness which compensates the increased thickness of the lower layer (1) at its edges which overlap the conductor paths (3), for uniform application of the force exerted on the stamp (5) to the measuring resistance (6). ADVANTAGE - Low mfg. cost and improved mfg. tolerances.
