Pneumatic tyre tread pattern for cars - has prim. circumferential channel, channels leading to shoulders and additional channels wider than depth with profiled rib in base
The tyre has a tread pattern with at least one prim. circumferential channel and a large number of subsidiary channels extending from the prim. channel to the tread edges. Additional channels aligned at 3-30 deg. to the prim. channel are longer than the tyre contact area. Both the prim. channel and each additional channel have at least one area with a raised rib in the base. Groove width in the area of the raised profile is greater than the depth and is 6-9% of tread width. USE/ADVANTAGE - The tread pattern is suitable for cars and reduces tyre unevenness due to waviness induced in the breaker layer during moulding.
