The print head (15) engages a cylindrical stand (10) rotatable in a circle about a vertical axis (A). The stand has a number of grippers (12) spaced evenly around the stand that hold objects to be printed upon. The stand top frame is mechanically coupled by a cylinder (22) to a similar frame (20) at the bottom. This has sockets (28) for location of the components. The print head unit (15) and cylinder are linked by a drive transmission (39), such that the head reciprocates in and out as the components index with a rotary movement. ADVANTAGE - Compact, easily expandable to include multiple print head.
